GET A PASSPORT NOW
The travel industry has launched a new website, GetAPassportNow.com, to inform travelers about new passport requirements and to help them get passports. The purpose of the website is to educate travelers about pending dates contained in the Western Hemisphere Travel Initiative (WHTI) recently revised by Congressional action and provide easy access to passport information. -- http://www.getapassportnow.com. PASSPORT UPDATE
The U.S. Departments of State and Homeland Security announced June 8, 2007 that U.S. citizens traveling to Canada, Mexico, the Caribbean, and Bermuda who have applied for but not yet received passports can temporarily enter and depart from the United States by air with a government issued photo identification and Department of State official proof of application for a passport through September 30, 2007. The federal government is making this accommodation for air travel due to longer than expected processing times for passport applications in the face of record-breaking demand.
Adults who have applied for but not yet received a passport should present government-issued photo identification and an official proof of application from the U.S. Department of State. Children under the age of 16 traveling with their parents or legal guardian will be permitted to travel with the child's proof of application. U.S. citizens with pending passport applications can obtain proof of application at http://travel.state.gov/passport.

Important AIRLINE information:
Reservations and seat assignments are subject to cancellation for any customer who fails to check in and obtain a boarding pass at least 30 minutes prior to scheduled departure and be available for boarding at the departure gate at least 20 minutes prior to scheduled departure for flights between points in North America, including flights to/from the U.S., Mexico, Canada, and the Caribbean. To/from all other International points, customers must check in and obtain boarding passes at least 45 minutes prior to departure and must be available for boarding at the departure gate at least 30 minutes prior to scheduled departure.

Effective September 2, for travel after November 1, 2010
All airlined passengers to provide the following Secrure FLight Passenger Data, regardless of when reservation was booked:
~ Full Name as it appreads on Government Issued ID
~ Date of Birth
~ Gender
~ Redress Number (if available)
TSA permits no exceptions and compliance is mandatory. Failure to provide this information could result in denail of the airline reseravtion.
