Itinerary

Day 1: Montreal, Quebec | Montreal is the cultural capital of Francophone Canada, and a premier center for arts and culture. It is a city of festivals, with the International Jazz Festival, the Just for Laughs, the Francofolies, and the World Film Festival held annually. The Old Port along the Saint Lawrence River offers a feast of cafes, art galleries, and picturesque narrow streets. Board the M/V Victory II for your voyage through the Great Lakes and on to New England.
Day 2: Quebec City | Quebec City is the only walled community in North America and is deeply engaged in preserving its history and its unique place in Canada. Situated on the Saint Lawrence River, Quebec City became a strategic port for trade in timber and furs. It is the Provincial Capital and the seat of the only Francophone government in North America.
Day 3: Whale Watching and Tadoussac | Tadoussac, where the Saint Lawrence River meets the outflow of the Saguenay River, is one of the most exciting whale-watching sites in the world. Between May and October, up to 13 species of cetaceans make their way upriver from the Atlantic Ocean, to become temporary residents in the salty rich waters of the Saint Lawrence Watch in awe of these mammals including blue whales, the largest animals on the planet, and the impressive humpbacks, which swim up into the mouth of the Saguenay Fjord near Tadoussac to feed.
Day 4: At Sea | Enjoy a relaxing day onboard to absorb all you have learned as you continue your discussions onboard with new friends.
Day 5: Cap Au Meuels - Ille de Madeline | A former village municipality located on Grindstone Island in Quebec's Magdalen Islands. The sheltered port is an important fishing harbor, as well as a commercial cargo and ferry port.
Day 6: Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island | Located on Prince Edward Island, Canada's smallest and most charming province, Charlottetown showcases a wealth of natural beauty and history. In the morning, coaches leave the port and follow the historic trail walked by delegates to the conference that led to the Confederation of Canada. You will make your way along the famous North Shore to Cavendish Bay, in Prince Edward Island National Park, to the farmstead that inspired L.M. Montgomery's Anne of Green Gables. Enjoy a walk through the house, stroll the haunted woods, Lovers' Lane, and the famous white shores of the bay. Visit the charming city center before returning to the ship for an exceptional dinner overlooking the sea.
Day 7: Canso Canal | Located in the province of Nova Scotia and dividing the Nova Scotia peninsula from Cape Breton Island. It is a long thin channel approximately 16 and half miles long and averaging almost two miles wide. It connects the Chedabucto Bay on the Atlantic Ocean to Saint George's Bay on the Northumberland Strait, a sub basin of the Gulf of Saint Lawrence. Grab your camera to capture the landscapes and when the bridge over the canal swings open to let the M/V Victory II pass through.
Day 8: Halifax, Nova Scotia | Halifax was settled by the British in 1746 to gain access to the rich cod resources in the surrounding waters and control over Halifax's harbor, which is the second largest ice-free harbor in the world. Halifax's strategic location near the Canadian, North American and North Atlantic trade routes made it a center of international shipping and trade in the 18th century and again during World War II, when supplies were being sent to Europe.
Day 9: Lunenburg, Nova Scotia | The Old Town of Lunenberg is one of only two urban communities in North America designated as a UNESCO World Heritage site. This morning, you'll visit Lunenburg's harbor-side streets, lined with unique shops and colorfully painted homes, the Fisheries Museum of the Atlantic, which exhibits wharf-side vessels, an aquarium, and the famous Bluenose II, a replica of the original world famous racing schooner. After lunch, you'll embark on a scenic drive through Mahone Bay, famous for its picturesque natural beauty, handsome churches dotting the shore, and Nova Scotia's largest fishing fleet.
Day 10: At Sea | Fine dining, the Open Bar and the congenial camaraderie of your fellow travelers enhance your day at sea.
Day 11: Portland, Maine | Portland's waterfront combines active fishing wharves with warehouses, shops, and museums. Departing from the port, you'll take a picturesque drive through the elegant Victorian Mansion district, past the boyhood home of American poet Henry Wadsworth Longfellow, and out to Casco Bay and the famous Portland Head Light. After lunch onboard, you will take a short ride to Kennebunkport, a shipbuilding mecca since the early 1600s. This New England community has long been the summer residence of President George W. Bush. After soaking up the maritime atmosphere of this quaint community, you'll make your way back through the architecturally significant homes of nearby Kennebunk, visiting the Franciscan Monastery and pausing by the quirky "wedding cake house."
Day 12: Gloucester / Boston | Welcome to Boston. This capital city was founded in 1630 and is one of the oldest cities in the United States. It played a key role in the American Revolution and the freedom of our country today. As you board the lovely M/V Victory II, settle into your outside stateroom before joining your fellow guests for dinner with free flowing house wines and cocktails for your last day onboard.
Day 13: Boston, Massachusetts | This morning you will awaken at your port in Boston, Massachusetts. History buffs can walk the Freedom Trail to explore the birthplace of the American Revolution. Culture fans will find extraordinary collections at the Museum of Fine Arts and a host of other institutions. For foodies, there's a booming restaurant scene specializing in fresh-caught seafood. For green thumbs, Boston's Public Garden and Copley Square are not to be missed. For sports fans, a visit to Fenway Park is a visit to historic and sacred ground.
