Itinerary

Day 1 Your Home Town / California, Lake Tahoe

Hop in your car rental with unlimited miles or board your comfortable flight for an adventurous getaway to Lake Tahoe. With a clear, cobalt blue lake, Sierra Nevada mountain backdrop and pine-scented breezes, Lake Tahoe is the ideal location for vacation, any time of the year. Upon arrival, check-in to The Ritz-Carlton, Lake Tahoe for five wondrous nights in a Slope-side Club suite with exclusive Club Level lounge amenities, gas fireplace and Juliet balcony overlooking the mountainside. Relax in the heated pool and hot tub, be pampered at the spa, let the kids play at the vibrant kids club, enjoy lakeside access at Lake Club and relish easy ski-in/ski-out access.

For dinner, take in the warm ambiance and sweeping Martis Valley views at The Living Room. Savor contemporary cocktails or wine options from the extensive wine list as you feast on wild boar nachos, lobster mac 'n' cheese, a hearty beef bourguignon served in a sourdough bread bowl or a cColorado lamb sandwich.

Day 2  Front Fun or Winter Mountain Adventure

Begin your day with complimentary pastries, fruits, coffees and hot items in the club lounge. In the summer, explore the resort's exclusive Lake Club with its private boat pier and MasterCraft X-24 boat for rent. Take in the tranquil waters on the complimentary kayak and stand-up paddleboards or relax in the outdoor whirlpool spa with magnificent lake and mountain views.

In the winter, hit the slopes! With easy ski-in/ski-out access enjoy everything from skiing, snowboarding and snow shoeing to snowmobiles and cross-country skiing. New to skiing? Learn from the best at the Northstar Resort Ski and Snowboard School, ideal for those learning from scratch or for intermediate and above skiers ready to take it to the next level.

Tonight, enjoy a casual meal at Backyard Bar & BBQ. Also offering ski-in/ski-out access, take a bite of traditional barbecue favorites, wood-fired pizzas, burger, brats and saloon-inspired cocktails. When it's warmer out, dine al fresco near the pool. Then head to the club lounge and wrap your evening with a complimentary cocktail.

Day 3 Golf & Spa Delights

Offering golfing privileges to resort guests, tee off at the 18-hole, par 72 Old Greenwood Golf Course, designed by Jack Nicklaus. Nestled among 600 acres of towering pines and surrounded by beautiful mountain vistas, the course is ideal for novices and pros alike.

Then, retreat to the slope-side spa for a signature foot ritual or hot stone massage. Utilizing natural healing ingredients including wild honeysuckle, eucalyptus oils and natural copper, the 17 treatment room spa also offers relaxation areas with fireplaces, a dry-heat lodge, eucalyptus steam room and outdoor lap pool. This evening, take the Highlands Gondola directly from the resort to The Village at Northstar. Days 4 - 5 Summer Exploration or Winter Recreation

Enjoy the warm weather by exploring everything Lake Tahoe has to offer. With so many options, your adventures can take you hiking on one of the hundreds of miles of trails around the Basin, mountain biking with spectacular panoramic views, or enjoying the water with nearby white-water rafting, boating, wake surfing, tubing or charter and fly fishing. Or just soak up the sun at one of the lakefront beaches or in a poolside cabana, complete with signature service and amenities.

For those chilly winter days, enjoy more time to hit the slopes. Or, discover other wintery fun including the 9,000 square-foot outdoor skating rink at the Village at Northstar, snow tubing at The Tubing Hill or a visit to the North Tahoe Regional Park for a variety of sledding adventures on multiple terrains.

Celebrate your last night in Tahoe in the lodge-inspired Manzanita, with its open kitchen, lively bar, chef's table and floor-to-ceiling windows offering spectacular mountain and lake views. With familiar favorites presented with a new twist, begin with a Peruvian ceviche or winter squash bisque, followed by a Butcher Block steak with red wine demi glaze, an orecchiette pasta with fennel sausage or a maple leaf duck breast with cherry jus. Then, retire to the Highlands Bar to toast to your incredible getaway.

Day 6  Lake Tahoe, California | Your Home Town
