The restored Westin St. Francis San Francisco on Union Square is the only hotel situated on the storied square. With San Francisco’s famous cable cars also found right in front of the hotel, guests will be centrally located, with easy access to the city’s top attractions, including Chinatown, Fisherman’s Wharf, and Ghirardelli Square.

All 1,195 of our guest rooms have been transformed, bringing a perfect balance between classic style and fresh sophistication, uniquely showcasing the architecture that made us famous. The hotel features rooms and suites in both, its Tower Building and Landmark Building.
Each guest room has been transformed and impeccably appointed with new furniture, including the famous Heavenly® Bed and Heavenly® Bath, wall and floor coverings, in-room safes, and state-of-the-art safety upgrades as part of the ongoing restoration. Standard room amenities are available in all rooms unless otherwise noted. Please note any requests in your reservation, which cannot be guaranteed until check-in.

The Windsor, Bridge view, Bay view, Union Square, Golden Gate and Pacific suites were meticulously designed to showcase their breathtaking views of the San Francisco skyline. Luxurious fabrics, custom-designed furniture and eye-catching artwork radiate throughout each individually designed suite. (600-1,900 Square Feet / 56-177 Square Meters).
State and Chairman Suites Two distinctive suites, the State and Chairman Suites, have been restored with over $2 million in upgrades, bringing together the St. Francis’ rich history complemented by modern design and luxury. The Specialty Suites located in the celebrated landmark building, offer unique layouts and distinctive decor, and were once the private residences of permanent hotel guests. The two-level Chairman’s Suite features three bedrooms, a large living room, a spacious entrance hall, and dining room with a full kitchen. The completed look celebrates the room’s gorgeous natural lighting and city views, and is styled with elegant, contemporary furnishings.

The Oak Room Restaurant Located in The Westin St. Francis on Union Square, The Oak Room Restaurant serves a full menu of American favorites with international flavors for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Additional menu choices include Westin Kid's Club items for children 12 and under, and The Westin SuperFoods breakfast items rich in antioxidants and phytonutrients. Recognized with the Open Table Diners' Choice Award by our dining guests.
Caruso's Caruso’s offers specialty coffee drinks, homemade pastries, wines by the glass, panini sandwiches, salads and a full bar. Located in the Tower lobby, this is a great place for casual dining, an afternoon snack or quick bite with the family.
Clock Bar Created by Michelin chef Michael Mina, Clock Bar takes the cocktail lounge concept to heady new heights. Savor handcrafted cocktails, gourmet finger foods, sumptuous entrées, and sample vintages from our 300-label wine list.
