The Crane is conveniently located approximately six minutes drive east of the Grantley Adams International Airport, on the South Eastern coast of Barbados.

General Information

Set on the world-famous Crane Beach, overlooking a perfect azure blue sea, is the Caribbean's first resort hotel. Built in 1887 and fully restored and expanded in the 20th century, this truly unique property combines elegance, old-world charm and incredible natural beauty with a romantic sense of seclusion, creating a feeling among guests of having retreated to a spot on earth where life is truly…simpler.

Room Details

The Crane offers two different types of accommodations, 1887 Historic Hotel and Private Residences. The historic hotel is comprised of eighteen rooms and four room types. Each suite in the historic hotel features high ceilings, hardwood floors and authentic antique furnishings. All of the suites also have a spectacular ocean view and many have mahogany four-poster beds.
Residences at The Crane boast coral stone walls, 10' high timber tray ceilings, central air-conditioning, ceiling fans and Jacuzzis. All ground floor and two-bedroom residences feature private pools, ranging from plunge pools to full-size pools that are 28 feet. in length. All categories within the Private Residences from one- to three-bedrooms offer amazing ocean views; junior suites offer a garden view. Junior garden view suites feature mini-kitchens while all other room categories offer a full-sized kitchen, complete with appliances and a full complement of cutlery. In addition, all rooms except junior suites offer a washer and dryer unit.

L'Azure Restaurant serves up a tempting range of classic and Caribbean delicacies in an atmosphere that speaks of elegance and beauty.
Zen Restaurant features classic Thai and Japanese cuisine in a stunning setting overlooking Crane Beach.
The Carriage House Poolside Restaurant serves up a variety of light and delectable food items and tropical cocktails.

Crane Beach boasts one of the best swimming venues on the island of Barbados.
