The resort perches above the Arenal Valley on a mountain ridge just north of the active volcano but safely outside the government declared danger zone. The higher altitude allows for not only incomparable views of the volcano, the lush valley, and the surrounding towns that sparkle at night, but also access to the area’s famous prevailing breezes. With an average daytime high temperature of 80°F in the shade and nighttime lows averaging 70°F you are sure to enjoy countless comfortable hours in your balcony hammock, al fresco dining, or sipping a frothy tropical cocktail in one of the spring pools.

Home Description

The combination of the Presidential Villa and the Palm Bungalow provide a total of 3,000 square feet of indoor and outdoor living area comprised of three detached buildings connected by gardens, terraces and covered exterior walkways. The center building is a “Great Room” living area with a full kitchen, indoor dining area, living area, a full bathroom and room for four twin beds along the side walls. The view looks out directly to the Volcano over a sun terrace and a heated free form pool with an infinity edge and waterfall along with an embedded infinity edge overflow Jacuzzi. The patio has two outdoor loggias featuring a dining table for six on one side and a comfortable seating area on the other. The “Great Room” is also equipped with a 47” LCD TV along with a surround sound system with IPod, IPhone and MP3 docking capability.

Each guest room and villa includes a private terrace with balcony and picturesque volcano view, hammocks, rocking chairs, central air conditioning, ceiling fan, luxurious marbled bathrooms with jacuzzi tubs and multiple head showers, 37” Flat Screen TV, surround sound stereo with CD/DVD player and IPOD/MP3/USB connectivity, telephone with voicemail, wireless internet, wet bar, safe, minibar refrigerator, bathrobes, iron and ironing board, and coffee maker.

Villa Description

Villa Calatea is a one of a kind villa with two bedrooms, two and one half bathrooms. Both the Master and Guest Bath have Jacuzzi Tubs. In addition, the Guest Room has an outdoor shower on its private terrace. The Master and Guest Suite share a living room and kitchen with a large refrigerator, microwave and toaster oven. The Villa has separate entrances, heated plunge pool with Jacuzzi jets and cascades, sun deck, hammocks, an outdoor dining area and, of course, an incredible view of the Arenal Volcano. The Guest Room has a Private Terrace that is perfect for morning room service as well as afternoon cocktails.
