Nestled in a location that is second to none, where the Gulf of Papagayo meets the sapphire blue waters of Culebra Bay. Peninsula Papagayo is located approximately 30 minutes from the airport (LIR).

General Information

Inspired by the local flora and fauna, the layout of the resort is based on an imaginary gathering of animals using the shapes of cocoons and shells for the design of the studios and pools. True to the Andaz brand, Andaz Papagayo reflects the indigenous nature of Costa Rica, offers uncomplicated and personal service by real people who have a passion for their heritage and their role in the community. An open-air lobby welcomes guests, in an uncomplicated free-flowing environment, with no desks or formalities. Opened December 2013, the Andaz Papagayo will feature 153 deluxe rooms, including 21 suites, nine spa treatment rooms, unique concept-restaurants with quiet and privileged views of the sea, and four meeting rooms. Room Details

Offering 153 thoughtfully appointed guest rooms and suites with balconies, four of the 21 suites feature plunge pools. Modern design blends with touches of character such as woven textiles, solid woods and carved artifacts to highlight the Costa Rican aesthetic, featuring one king or two twin beds and spacious balcony that grants partial bay, tropical forest or impressive ocean views. The bathroom's walk-in rain shower opens onto the balcony, and deluxe amenities include complimentary non-alcoholic minibar and wireless Internet access, unlimited local phone calls, floor-to-ceiling windows, turndown service, work desk, robes and slippers, hairdryer, iron/ironing board, 24-hour room service, coffee maker, cable/satellite TV channels, individual air conditioning control, ceiling fans and an in-room safe.

Suite Details

Andaz Suites offer impressive views of the sapphire blue waters of Culebra Bay meeting the forest of the peninsula, featuring one king bed, living and dining areas and spacious balcony. The extra-large bathroom includes soaking tub and separate oversized walk-in rain shower, and all the deluxe amenities of rooms.
Presidential Suite is a spacious two-bedroom suite, featuring one king and two twin beds, living room, dining area, kitchen and entry courtyard. With all the amenities of an Andaz suite plus a refrigerator, microwave, additional television, blu-ray DVD player and more.

Restaurants

The unique gastronomic experience of the Andaz Papagayo ´s Cuisine features three themed restaurants. Each one tells a story about our culture, gatherings around a tree as the indigenous used to do, or the enhancement of the fisherman culture in the area. Totally open kitchens allow a distinctive interaction with chefs, making guests feel like if they were visiting family or the home of a friend. The bar offers creative, hand-crafted Latin cocktails and savory snacks in a vibrant and entertaining atmosphere. Restaurant options will include a show kitchen, wood-burning stove and private dining room and include seasonal farm-to-table ingredients, inventive, locally inspired cuisine and extensive wine menus.
Rio Bhongo offers global cuisine for breakfast, lunch and dinner.
Ostra - Seafood Restaurant is an elegant, discreet and romantic restaurant offering all kinds of products from the sea, especially and carefully prepared with sophisticated culinary techniques.
Chao Pescado is an uncomplicated and enthusiastic venue offering a small portion menu that changes according to our guests needs and the freshest seasonal ingredients.

Recreation

Two multiple cascading outdoor infinity pools including a family and adults-only pool. The family pool is a water oasis for kids and adults. Splash, swim or play, the family pool is all about fun. Our restaurant will prepare dishes especially for your family fusing international gourmet cuisine with locally sourced ingredients. The adults-only infinity pool gazing at the sapphire blue waters of the bay that make their way through the majestic coastal mountains. Costa Rica is well known for its sunny “playas”, at Andaz Papagayo you will be able to enjoy two exclusive gold sand beaches.
