Hawaii Island Day Adventures


Captain Zodiac Morning Excursion

Evening Volcano Explorer
This narrated adventure takes you on an amazing journey through Hawai`i Volcanoes National Park and Kilauea Volcano. Visit Punalu'u Black Sand Beach to search for giant sea turtle, and learn the park's highlights, from active volcanic craters and steam vents to the historic Jaggar Museum. Then watch for incredible views of volcanic activity at sunset. 9-10 hours; dinner included.

Hakalau Forest Hike Adventure
Still a critical bird habitat, the Hakalau Wildlife Refuge was the first National Wildlife Refuge in America established for forest birds. It offers unparalleled glimpses at a variety of rare tropical birds and plants, in their natural surroundings. Some of Hawaii's rarest species residing there are the akepa, akiapolaau and Hawaii creeper. Excursion is 7.5 hours, leaving from the Hawaii Forest & Trail Office, and includes lunch, water access fee, walking sticks, daypacks and raingear.

Kohala Waterfall Adventure

High above the crashing surf of Hulop'e Bay, The Challenge at Manele is an outstanding golf course that more than lives up to its name. Built on lava outcroppings, the course features three holes on cliffs, which use the Pacific Ocean as a water hazard. The five-tee concept challeges the best golfers - tee shots over natural gorges and ravines must be precise. 

Experience at Koele Golf
Legendary golfer Greg Norman and architect Ted Robinson together designed the 7,017-yard par 72 course. The mountain course begins on a plateau nearly 2,000 feet above sea level, set off by panoramic views of Maui and Molokai. Horseback Riding
